Fender Coronado II Modified with Stereo Output 1966 - 1972 - Antigua
We recently picked this guitar up from the estate of a local musician who has used it for decades. Over the years, it has been modified. It was retrofitted to work in stereo with a Carvin pickup set based on the Carvin wiring diagram. I believe it has been given a phase switch in the middle, and the other two split the humbucker pickups. The family had no idea, but I am basing this on the paperwork showing the wiring diagrams in the photos. Straplocks were installed.
There is one issue with the wiring only in stereo, but it should be an easy fix. The bottom jack has no problems, and all pickups work. The top jack output does not work when the neck pickup is engaged with the selector. My guess is a cold solder joint—the middle and bridge positions work.
The guitar received a refret in the 90s, and the receipt is included. The new frets have plenty of life left in them. It was given a new top nut in 2022, and the receipt is included.
The guitar shows wear from the age as shown in the photos. Some cotton stuffing is inside, which I believe was used to help reduce feedback.
It will come with the hard case shown and be shipped fully insured. Any questions, please ask.
